So it looks like my dental work is going to cost shitloads (I think that’s the technical term for it), and may well take months. Seems I need a number of fillings replaced as well as a root canal and crown, although I am seeking a second opinion which may reduce the amount of work and certainly will reduce the cost.
Moneymaking Schemes:
-Start a sponsor a tooth scheme; people pay me to have dental work and in return get to have regular updates and photos of their sponsored tooth.
-Sell good teeth to pay for dentures and denture glue.
-Sell Kidney.
-Move into disabled toilet at work – thereby saving on rental costs.
-Sell excess hair I shed daily to expensive extensions place. Dye hair same colour as Posh’s hair before start collecting as she is sure to want new extensions soon.
-Cancel Christmas (bah humbug)

Me and my dodgy tooth are back. Had a great weekend of napping, eating, shopping and hanging out with a certain someone who I had missed a hell of a lot. Judging by the fact that he spoiled me with a number of yummy treats (and also the fact that he told me), I’m thinking he missed me too.
Today I have managed to put in a full day despite waking up at 4am. Not only have I done some of the work my company pays me to do, but also I have sorted a number of home issues including getting my broadband and telephone tariffs decreased to a reasonable rate – why was I paying £50 a month for the two of them?? I am now down to far more reasonable £21 + call charges. Given that I barely use the phone this is a far more manageable amount. I have also arranged for my electricity meter to be changed from a crappy key system to a normal charge monthly type of thing – so that I may no longer constantly live in fear of running out of electricity (especially as I have key issues).
Tonight I return home to continuing putting my life in order, and hopefully get more than 6 hours sleep. The key to getting more sleep is to try and hold off going to bed until at least 9pm if not 10pm, otherwise I may well be awake at 4am for a third morning.
Tomorrow morning I will, for the first time in 3 weeks get back on my bike, which I am very much looking forward to. Must check the tyres and make sure my lights are in highly visible positions given that it will still be quite dark when I set off.

How the fuck did that happen? One minute my sister and I are on the same track and the next she has taken a fork in the road to the left and i have taken the right. I am suprised by a steep hill and faiul to make it all the way up. I go back down the hill and take another run at it. In the meantime my sister continues cycling. By the time I have conquered the hill and hit the other side she has completely disappeared and I am lost in an unfamilar forest…not that any forest in familiar to me, but it is a sad fact that I have absolutely no sense of direction and may well never find my way back to the carpark.
I shout a few times, my voice sounding like a thin reedy whisper in the vast stand of trees. I consider cycling further on but discard that idea, I know my bush survival – always stay where you are. She’ll be back, she knows I’m a stranger in this land and prone to lostness. 10 minutes later she has not returned, I try shouting again, this time I hear distant shouts in reply..they gradually fade to nothing again. I try not to panic but my imagination runs wild and I have visions of spending the night in the forest. Finally I decide to cycle on ahead in the hopes that she will have finally doubled back.
I cycle as fast as I can and in a few minutes I spot a clearing through the trees and there she is looking around frantically. I shout and we cycle toward eachother both relieved that I have survived my ordeal.

I have never ever had toothache, that is until Saturday. Sunday morning the pain actually woke me up, by Monday morning I realised I would have to do something about at. I suppose I should have guessed it would be serious, given that I’ve never had that kind of pain before but I have had fillings. It was pretty much as bad as it gets without having an extraction…yep – root canal.
I haven’t had the actual root canal as it’s something which takes a few visits, the dentist here in Christchurch put in a temporary fix and sent me on my way with a wee xray of my tooth, my notes and $180 lighter. It was a bargain when you consider how much pain I could conceivably be in at 30,000 feet in the air on Friday.
Of course the real pain has yet to come – I suspect up to four hundred quid worth of pain….

The warm up event has been completed. 70 or so relations all in one hosue for a barbecue – I say inside because as is usual in this part of the world when you plan a barbie – it was raining.
there were many many cousins about and even th enext generation of cousins. I had no idea I had gotten so old. Strangely me and my sister seemed to impress the teenagers with our sarcasm and self deprecating manner. It’s a little strange that they people we get on with best are half our age…I guess we’ve never really grown up.

Well here we are about to embark on the family party to end all family parties (and it probably will).
It’s the night before the first event and apparently one of the aunts is already hanging over the toilet. Poor thing, she doesn’t usually drink (must be adopted).
Offical report to follow…

Whilst at a party with a few other babies in attendance my sister handed me her youngest (7.5 months) and said:
“here, take her, give her a hunk of bread to munch on, if she starts to choke, take her to a parent”.
