An Arm and a Leg

So it looks like my dental work is going to cost shitloads (I think that’s the technical term for it), and may well take months. Seems I need a number of fillings replaced as well as a root canal and crown, although I am seeking a second opinion which may reduce the amount of work and certainly will reduce the cost.

Moneymaking Schemes:

-Start a sponsor a tooth scheme; people pay me to have dental work and in return get to have regular updates and photos of their sponsored tooth.

-Sell good teeth to pay for dentures and denture glue.

-Sell Kidney.

-Move into disabled toilet at work – thereby saving on rental costs.

-Sell excess hair I shed daily to expensive extensions place. Dye hair same colour as Posh’s hair before start collecting as she is sure to want new extensions soon.

-Cancel Christmas (bah humbug)

  1. Or…

    - get work done in Poland for 1/3 the price.

  2. yes but what about the language barrier – i mught go there and coem back with a wooden tooth by mistake…and how to find a decent dentist there – these questions and more.

i do know a couple of crazy poles at work – maybe i should ask one of them to recommend me someone.

  3. Top tip: Entertain said Poles with charm and wit so you can surreptitiously check out their dental work *before* asking them to recommend a dentist. You (probably) don’t want to end up in the little shop of horrors, Poland stylee.

I have heard it’s tres cheap and apparently they are all very well trained.

Did you know, though, that there are dental schools in London which need people to be their patients. The ‘students’ are nearly qualified (4th or 5th yr), it’s all supervised by the tutors and chances are you’d get a better service than from an average dentist because they need to impress the tutors. The downside is it takes *ages*, but you can marvel at having two kidneys while you sit there with your gob open.

  4. no way am i going to a learner dentist, i once went to a learner hairdresser. every other woman there came out with lovely layered, long straight hair, i entered with shoulder length hair and exited with a very short hair helmet – was not pretty

  5. hmmm. I see your point. Poland it is.

  6. reckon will do in Leyton – is like Poland, but more south africans and less poles
