Ends Friday

‘you’ve probably already checked out in your head’ said the boss

‘no, no’ I said ‘you’ll get the same level of work from me for my last week’

At the time I mostly meant it, however now that I am so close to ending this I find it really hard to motivate myself out of the house.

Still, I’m here now and there are a number of tasks to complete before the end of the week. I’d originally said I would work until Christmas if need be, but now the very thought appals me. Lucky we both think this can be closed out by the end of this week, which gives me a totally unexpected week’s holiday – hurrah! Now lets see – who can I corrupt at lunchtime next week?

A day late and a dollar short

Oh for fucks sake, I’ve just realised I’ve been a day behind all week. My watch has had the wrong date on it since Saturday – stupid!

These boots were made for walking

Either the excesses of last night are not finished sloshing around in my stomach or I’m really flipping nervous about having to hand in my notice today after a mere 6 weeks in my ‘new job’.

The good news is I have a new ‘new job’ to start January 2nd…

Tomato and cannelini bean soup

Last night I made a tomato sauce from the lovely toms the Boyf procured from the poncey farmer market. My thinking was I could add a tin of lentils to it tonight to make a tasty soup. Not only could I not find lentils in Tesco I also forgot that I have an appointment across the other side of town (ooooh south of the river…) straight after work, therefore here is the recipe as emailed to the Boyf to assemble:

Soup: take tin of cannelini beans from cupboard (white beans in normal size tin, not small tin), rinse, add to tomato sauce (glass jug in fridge). Heat thoroughly in a pot. Taste, if too strong, water it down a bit. serve with toast.

pls leave me some

thanks
