This morning I discovered I had not been paid yet – which was distressing particularly as a direct debit had come out already…
I also discovered that although I can activate my Pru health membership today my gym membership (ie the only reason I joined Pru) will take 5-7 days to activate. When I asked the ‘nice’ gentleman at Pru’s call centre why that was, he said “have you read the T’s & C’s?” to which I of course replied – no. I then asked him if he thought it was fair that I was paying from the 1st of Feb but would not get to use the membership until a week later? Instead of answering that question he replied “have you read the T’s & C’s”. At this point I realised I wasn’t going to get any further sense out of him and simply said “right that’s all I need to know, bye” and hung up very swiftly. I think my boss was somewhat surprised to see my face bright red and steam coming out of my ears….
