A fab week coming up. Firstly dinner with an old friend who is over from Australia, then a couple of days at work, which if they go well, will mean some giant leaps forward in my project. Finally to cap it off my weekend begins Friday when the Boyf and I go to Edinburgh for the weekend to see a cylcing event.

I’m getting so old
Not only am I in floods of tears during every single episode of ER, but I’m also loving re-runs of Sex and the City! It’s all wrong. Worst still, although I aspire to be Carrie, I’m still just a Miranda (without the gay), dressed in Carrie clothing. What does this say about me??

Home alone – the pros and cons
Pros
- ordering a curry and being able to make one order last for two nights
- waking up when I want, rather than 6.15
- watching any ole shit on TV and channel flipping
- making a bottle of wine last more than one night
- nesting in the living room (aka having all useful possessions to hand while sat on the floor – nail file, clippers, nail polish, book, magazines,mobile and land line phone, computer, notepad, pen, tv remote, PVR remote, purse etc
- allowing clothes mountain to climb further up the bedroom wall
- sleeping in the middle of the bed
Cons
- no one to cook for
- no cuddles
- no one to chat with
- general state of flat getting out of hand re lack of order and tidy
- no morning cuddle before getting up
- no kiss before going to sleep
- no one to cycle home with (no one to pump up my tyres)
- no one to agree with me about shit work was today

Newflash
Last night I slept from 11pm until 5.50am without consciously waking up at any point during the night – miracle!
In other news, I am now 36, queue drooping of boobs, eye baggage being delivered, pot belly taking up permanent residence and arrival of back fat..gah …age…no….

Colleague irritants
Colleague 1 – Leaves her chair way out from her desk when she leaves the office – it encroaches on my bay.
Colleague 2 – has iphone headphones on but only one, so the other is audibly jangling.
Colleague 3 – Insists on having the window wide open even though a helicopter has been hovering overhead for the last hour
All other colleagues – varying between negative and uncooperative and ambivalent and apathetic…..

Spring is sprung
Today is the first day of the year I have worn a dress with bare legs – hooray. Rather fitting that it is May 1st and the sun is shining – double hooray.
