After 5 weeks of holiday, 6 weeks job hunting and quite a lot of stress I’ll be returning to the real world of office life January 6th.
No more coffee and cake mid afternoon just because I fancy it, no more trips to town just to meet someone for lunch, no more getting up after 9am on a regular basis, no more having the time and inclination to cook elaborate dishes for me and my freezer (hello toast at least 3 nights a week), no more Breaking Bad marathons, no more surfing the internet whenever I feel like it..
On the positive side, soon there will be a lot less worrying about bills, comparing prices of different brands of cheese, no more avoiding Oxford Street in case I accidentally spend money, more eating out if I fancy it, more meeting new people, more appreciating my own space, more activity (less of my arse glued to the sofa), less time to dwell on the past and finally and most importantly – more fun.
2010? bring it on.
